Membership
Why should you join a church? With membership comes a deeper level of commitment. With commitment comes privileges and responsibilities. By becoming a member, you are stating publicly – “This is my church! These are my people! I will use my gifts – my time, my talent and my treasure – to advance God’s kingdom in this place with these people.” Membership is a confirmation that you believe in our goals as a church, and you desire to help us accomplish them. You are stating that you are generally inline with our theology though you don’t have to agree with everything, to be a member.Visitors are always welcome, but we encourage everyone to consider a deeper level of commitment. The Body of Christ needs your gifts and abilities somewhere in the Kingdom – if it’s here, we’d love to help you!
Membership Process
Attend Curious, our Sunday afternoon information session offered several times a year. This step is optional, but highly recommended if you are new to the church.
Complete the Member Information Form (one for each adult) and the Membership Statement (one per household). Links to these forms are below, and hard copies are available on request.
After filling out the paperwork above, expect to hear from one of our elders to set up a meeting. This is a chance for us to hear your story and get to know you a bit better.
Officially join the church during worship. We have several Sundays a year designated for welcoming new members. Just let Joy know you’d like to complete this last step, and we’ll get you scheduled. The membership questions you’ll be asked are the same questions on the member statement form.
